Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Migrants and Returnees Affairs says that during the last 10-20 days, about 23,000 Afghan migrants were forcibly deported by the Pakistani forces through Torkham and Spin Boldak borders.

Abdul Rahman Rashid, deputy minister of the Ministry of Migrants and Returnees, said in his meeting with Leonard Zulu, the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Afghanistan, that during the last 10 to 20 days, about 23,000 Afghan immigrants were forcibly deported by Pakistani forces through the border of Torkham and Spin Boldak, and a committee consisting of representatives of 6 ministries has been established and is working on them.

Rashid added that Pakistan deports migrants against international laws, we must welcome those deported and we need the help and cooperation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in this regard.

At the same time, Ballionard Zulu, the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Afghanistan, has also said that Pakistan must respect the international laws of migration, officials of the commissioner’s offices in Pakistan have started meeting with the authorities of that country, and we hope for good results.

He added that the Ministry of Immigrant Affairs and the Commissionerate must have their necessary preparations and measures, create facilities and facilities, so that the immigrants who return return to their original places regularly and with dignity, and we must work on a joint action plan.

Mr. Zulu requested a tripartite meeting to solve the problem of forced deportation and stated that we are consulting with other UN aid agencies on this matter.

Still, Zulu found it necessary to create a technical team and said that we will soon have a meeting with the Ministry of Immigrants.

Also, Mahmoudul Haq Ahadi, the head of policy and planning of the Ministry of Migration, said that it is necessary to create a technical committee for the transfer and reception of Afghan migrants so that we can overcome the problems in coordination and cooperation with each other.
