Human Rights Defenders refugee stream for resettlement to Canada. This scheme is exclusively for human rights defenders outside Afghanistan who have faced risks due to their human rights activities and cannot return to their home country. The applicant must meet the criteria to qualify as a refugee under 1951 Convention and meet Canada´s criteria under the Refugee Resettlement Program.

Eligibility Criteria
