German Chancellor: Deport criminal migrants, even from Syria and Afghanistan

Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of Germany, emphasized the expulsion of migrants who commit crimes, continuing the concerns of German officials about the increase in crimes committed by migrants.

According to reports, Mr. Scholz expressed these remarks in the German Federal Parliament on Thursday, stating that the groundwork for the expulsion of “serious criminals” must be established.

Referring to an attack by a migrant at a protest gathering in Mannheim, the Chancellor said, “Such criminals must be expelled – even if they come from Syria and Afghanistan.”

Nancy Faeser, Germany’s Interior Minister, also emphasized the expulsion of “criminal” migrants yesterday, stating that “criminal and dangerous” asylum seekers are potentially “a threat to Germany’s security.”

These concerns peaked after an Afghan migrant attacked a protest gathering in Mannheim, resulting in the death of a police officer and injuring five others.

German media reports indicate that the government has drafted a plan to identify and expel dangerous migrants.

In addition to Germany, neighboring countries like Pakistan and Iran have also been forcibly deporting Afghan migrants amid a dire humanitarian situation and security threats in Afghanistan.
