Taliban Leader Emphasizes Halting International Organizations’ Activities in Afghanistan
8am, Kandahar: Local sources in Kandahar report that Hibatullah Akhundzada, the Taliban leader, is seeking to halt the activities of foreign organizations across Afghanistan.
Sources told the 8am newspaper on Monday, December 25, that the Taliban leader has held various meetings with officials of the group to discuss this matter.
According to the sources, these organizations’ operations have already been halted in Kandahar province.
The sources also stated that the Taliban leader has accused international organizations of espionage.
Hibatullah has reportedly said that the activities of these organizations must be stopped, and their projects handed over to domestic institutions.
The Taliban have yet to officially comment on this issue.
It is worth noting that during their previous regime, the Taliban also suspended the activities of foreign organizations and expelled them from the country.
