A Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, public policy, or a related field is required. A focus in a public health or health management-related discipline is preferred. A minimum of 7 years’ prior professional experience in private sector health is required, preferably with at least 3 years’ experience in managerial capacity. Understanding and experience of managing commercial or social franchising operations focusing on low-income populations is required. Demonstrated experience of implementing donor-funded development projects. Strong relationship management skills. Must be able to manage relationships with internal and external program stakeholders and partners. Good computer skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members. Ability and track record of working as part of a busy team and working effectively under pressure to tight deadlines. Fluent English writing and speaking skills required; strong Dari and Pashto speaking and writing skills are an advantage.
