Salary: $58,000 – $63,000 per year

Overview:
American Councils is seeking a Senior Education Advisor to lead educational programs for Afghan students, focusing on expanding access to higher education, especially for women. This role involves developing strategies, managing advising networks, and supporting Afghan youth through educational advising and scholarship opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor educational advisors across Afghanistan and other countries.
• Develop and deliver tailored educational programs, workshops, and advising sessions.
• Provide one-on-one and group advising on academic pathways, scholarships, and standardized testing.
• Build partnerships with universities and community leaders to expand program reach.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and program performance management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, international development, or related field.
• Experience in educational advising and program management (3+ years).
• Strong understanding of Afghan education systems and cultural context.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with underserved populations and promoting inclusivity.
