Join NRC as an Advocacy Manager in Afghanistan

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a dedicated Advocacy Manager to lead its policy and advocacy efforts in Afghanistan. This role offers an opportunity to significantly impact the humanitarian and protection environment through strategic advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to NRC’s advocacy activities in Afghanistan.
  • Engage with key policymakers to advance NRC’s advocacy objectives.
  • Manage and collaborate with the advocacy team and regional colleagues, particularly from the Iran office.
  • Act as a media spokesperson and manage research and program learning projects.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree with experience in humanitarian assistance and advocacy.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Position Highlights:

  • Part of NRC’s Country Management Team.
  • Based in Kabul with a contract duration of 18 months and about 40% travel.
