A university degree in one of the following fields is required: civil engineering or other relevant fields. Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree is a strong asset. A minimum of two years of professional work experience in construction supervision is required. Highly proficient in the project management, construction management, and education sectors, conversant in current sector thinking related to major project management and delivery. Experience and familiarity with community-based education are required. Knowledge of construction and rehabilitation work and sustainability management is an asset Experience in school construction is strongly preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively with international staff and programs, including local implementation partners, contractors, government partners, and vendors. Monitoring, quality assurance, and supervision skills. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or the local language of the duty station is considered an asset. Computer skills and proficiency in the use of Auto Cad’s latest version, including internet navigation, and various office applications required.
